This plasma cutter handles 3/8″ steel with no problem, although don’t expect it to speed through like cutting paper. It isn’t powerful enough to do that but taking your time always gets the job done. It mostly excels at cutting sheet metal and 1/8″ mild steel. The Airforce 12ci can also be powered by standard 120V household voltage.
The main reason I love this plasma cutter is how portable it is. With a weight of 21 pounds and a built-in air compressor this cutter is always ready to go.
